Homes in Buda and Kyle, Texas
Just 10 minutes from downtown Austin, Buda, TX has been on the verge of population explosion for several years. Once the north suburbs filled up, Austinites began looking for closer, cheaper alternatives. Then they found Buda, and the explosion happened. Fortunately for buyers, prices have not quite adjusted for demand and convenience, so there are many great deals to be had on new or relatively new homes in Buda. The opening of a new Cabela’s sports outlet here in Buda facilitated the city’s retail growth by creating the traffic flow and draw necessary to attract businesses, restaurants, and other modern day conveniences. Since the homes and land improvement are relatively new, taxes remain well below the metro average. Buda and Kyle have been associated with each other for two reasons. First, they are geographically very close, and second, they were both barely on the map until just a few years ago. Kyle, TX is just now starting to develop an identity of its own separate from Buda. There is a large scale retail project in the works which will undoubtedly centralize the Kyle population. In addition, the SH-45 Toll Road project is currently in the works to open up at IH-35 in Kyle. This will, in effect, make Kyle the main exchange route for those wishing to go into Austin or around it. Kyle is also a short 10-15 minute commute to the highly acclaimed Texas State University in San Marcos. Kyle has many beautiful new home communities with a completely different vibe from those in Buda. At present, Kyle is considered a rural community. Even with the new home developments, one gets the feeling that things move at a slightly more relaxed pace here than they do in Buda or Austin. Speaking of, even with the new home communities spreading like wildfire, there is no shortage of acreage and ranch style homes on quiet county roads in either of these areas. One can find just about any type of home desired in these two communities. Buda and Kyle are located in Hays County 10 and 15 minutes south of Austin, Texas on Interstate 35 and serviced by the Hays CISD. The rapid population growth has fueled several state of the art new schools for all levels, and demand continues into the future. The sky is the limit on these two booming towns.
